Arrivals
Vienna's gates sit inside one connected terminal complex at Schwechat, about 18 km from the centre. Clear passport control, collect your cases, then pick up skis or outsized bags from the separate oversize belt. The railway station is beneath the terminal and signed from arrivals. Your e-ticket names your driver and carries a number to ring.
Private transfers
Your driver waits in the arrivals hall, past the barrier, holding a sign showing your name or the 'hoppa' logo.
Minibuses and coaches
Walk out to the coach park, signed from the terminal doors. Give your headcount at booking so the right size is waiting.
Delays & Driver Info
1
Free waiting time
You get up to 60 minutes of free waiting after your flight lands. On an international arrival a 30-minute buffer is added before the waiting time starts, which covers the passport queue on a non-Schengen arrival from the UK.
Delayed, diverted or landing early?
Your driver follows the live arrival time rather than the schedule you booked on. Winter fog on the plain east of Vienna is the local hazard and occasionally sends a flight to Bratislava or Linz. Your operator sees it first and will contact you to reposition or rebook. A delay simply moves the pick-up, with nothing for you to do.

Can't find your driver?
Stay inside the arrivals hall where you came through and call the number on your e-ticket. hoppa's team picks up in an average of 11 seconds, a 99.7% call answer rate: a real person, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The hoppa help centre answers most questions before you need to call.
What to do around Vienna?
If your flight home leaves late in the day, the city repays the spare hours.
- The Kunsthistorisches Museum and the Hofburg sit ten minutes apart on foot, both inside the Ring.
- Viennese coffee house culture is on the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage, and an afternoon in one is a legitimate plan.
- The Riesenrad has turned over the Prater since 1897 and the view across the rooftops is best in the hour before dark.
