Fixed-price ski transfers from Fez Airport to Ifrane

Somebody has told you Casablanca is the nearest airport to Ifrane. It is not, and believing it costs you three hours and most of your fare. Fez puts you 65 km out, about an hour through the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas, and three of you travel that for £70. Casablanca sits 320 km away with three and a half hours of road in between.

That one mistake is the most expensive part of booking this resort. Fly into Fez. You get the short hour, and a town waiting for you 1,665 metres up in cedar country.

What Ifrane travellers ask before they book

Four airports will fly you here, the published guidance points you at the wrong one, and the nearest charges you the least by a very long way.

The basics

Which airport is closest to Ifrane?

Fez, 65 km out. You will read elsewhere that Casablanca is closest at 320 km. That is five times as far from you, and it is not correct.

How long is the transfer from Fez to Ifrane?

About an hour for the 65 km. You climb gradually out of the Saïss plain into the cedar forest. Your other three choices sit hours behind it, not minutes.

What does a transfer from Fez to Ifrane cost?

From £70 if three of you take a private car. Thirteen vehicles will run you up there, as far as a 14-seat minibus. Prices are indicative.

Can I get to Ifrane from Casablanca or Marrakech?

Yes to both, and both keep you on the road a long time. Casablanca asks £615 over 320 km and Marrakech £244 over 530 km. Neither gives you a reason to skip Fez.

How high is Ifrane?

1,665 metres, about 5,460 feet, which the resort states itself. You sit roughly a kilometre lower than Oukaïmeden in the High Atlas, which is why the skiing here will suit you as a beginner.

When can you ski Ifrane?

December to February, weather permitting. The Middle Atlas sits lower than the High Atlas, so your snow window is shorter. Check conditions before you book your flights.

Where are the ski lifts at Ifrane?

At Michlifen, 10 km and about fifteen minutes up the road from the town. You sleep and eat in Ifrane. You ski at Michlifen.

Which vehicle fits my group?

How many people and how much luggage fit in each vehicle?

Vehicle categories include Sedan, Business Sedan, Minivan, Business Minivan, Minibus and Bus. Each has a strict insured maximum for passengers and luggage that drivers must adhere to. Default luggage allowance is one 24-inch suitcase per passenger. Bags larger than 24″ count as two pieces. Choose a category that fits both your party and your bags.

Will I get the exact car shown in the picture?

Vehicle images are for illustration only. You're booking a category, not a specific model, and we may upgrade you to a higher category at no extra charge if your selected one isn't available.

Can I add a child seat for my baby or toddler?

Yes. We offer infant carriers, baby seats and boosters depending on your supplier and route. Add the seat type you need during booking so it can be confirmed in advance.

How much does a child seat cost?

The first child seat in your booking is included free. Any additional seats may carry a fee from the supplier. The exact amount is shown in your booking quote before you pay, so there are no surprises.

I forgot to request a child seat: can I add it after booking?

Yes. Contact customer service as soon as possible to add it to your booking. Late requests are honoured subject to availability, so the sooner you ask, the better. Important: no refund or replacement applies if a driver arrives without a seat that wasn't requested in time.

Is my child seat guaranteed once I've added it to my booking?

If you've added the seat at the time of booking, it's confirmed with your transport supplier. Seats requested after the booking is placed are subject to availability. If a seat ends up unavailable on arrival because it wasn't requested in time, no refund applies.

Can I bring a pet or service animal?

Yes, at no extra charge. Notify us at booking so the right vehicle is allocated. Important: animals count toward the vehicle's passenger capacity, so a 5-seat vehicle with two pets has three human seats.

Do you have wheelchair-accessible options?

Yes. Note any accessibility need (wheelchair, mobility scooter, special assistance) in the booking comments. We work with specialised partners and make reasonable efforts to accommodate.

What if my flight is delayed?

Will my driver wait if my flight is late?

Yes. Your driver waits up to 60 minutes free on airport pickups. International flights add a 30-minute buffer on top, so the free waiting period starts after that buffer ends.

What if my flight is delayed by more than 2 hours?

A delay that long may mean your transfer has to be rescheduled, so call the number on your e-ticket as soon as you know. Customer service will coordinate a new pickup time with the driver. If your driver cannot pick you up as scheduled, your order is cancelled without charge.

What if my flight is cancelled entirely?

Your transfer is cancelled free of charge. Contact customer service immediately so we can update the booking.

What if my flight is diverted to a different airport?

Contact us immediately. We'll do our best to reschedule your pickup, though we can't guarantee a free transfer if the new airport is in a different region or significantly further from your destination.

Where will I meet my driver?

24 hours before pickup we send a final SMS or WhatsApp with the exact meeting point and your driver's contact details. Meet & greet at the arrival gate is available on request, subject to airport policy. If it is not possible at the gate, we'll assign an alternative meeting point.

What if I'm stuck inside the airport (luggage, immigration)?

Use the emergency number on your e-ticket to call the driver or local supplier and let them know you're still in the terminal. The driver will wait through their free period and, if reached in time, can sometimes extend.

What counts as a no-show?

Not appearing within the free waiting period and being unreachable for additional time. No-shows are charged in full and non-refundable.

Best price & current deals

Where can I find a discount code?

Active offers are applied automatically when you search. There's nothing to enter manually. To see what's currently running, check our discount codes page or our homepage banner.

Should I book early?

Yes. We recommend booking at least 24 hours in advance for the best vehicle selection. Bookings within 24 hours are subject to availability and may carry an expedited service fee. Booking early also locks in today's price.

Is there a low-deposit option?

On selected services and destinations, yes. Pay a deposit now and the balance before your travel date. If the balance isn't paid in time the booking auto-cancels and the deposit is forfeited. Note: low-deposit bookings can't be paid with hoppa Credits.

What is Refund Protect?

An optional add-on at checkout from our partner Refund Protect. If you (or anyone in your party) can't attend for a covered reason, you receive 100% of your booking back. Refund Protect's decision is final. See their full terms when adding the option.

Can I use hoppa Credits from a previous booking?

Yes. hoppa Credits apply automatically to your next booking when you log in with the same email. They expire 12 months after issue, can't be transferred between accounts, and can't be combined with low-deposit bookings.

Can I cancel and get a refund?

Yes, depending on timing and vehicle size. Up to 7 seats: free cancellation more than 24 hours before pickup; 100% charge within 24 hours. 8–14 seats: free outside 48 hours. 16+ seats: free outside 14 days, 50% within 14–7 days, 100% within 7 days. Approved refunds reach your original payment method in 5 to 7 business days.

Approved refunds reach your original payment method in 5 to 7 business days.

Common problems on the way to Ifrane, and how hoppa solves them

Nearly every one of these starts the same way. You book the flight before you price the ground leg. Four Moroccan airports will sell you a transfer here, and they sit hours and hundreds of pounds apart.

Challenge Solution How do we solve it?
You read that Casablanca is the nearest airport Fly into Fez instead. Fez leaves you 65 km from Ifrane and Casablanca leaves you 320 km. You pay £70 against £615, and spend about an hour against three and a half.
You assume the nearer airport must be the cheaper one Price each leg rather than measuring it. Marrakech keeps you 210 km further out than Casablanca and asks you £244 against £615. Distance will not order your choices for you.
You book from Marrakech and keep hunting for a bigger vehicle Stop at the sixth vehicle. Marrakech prices in two separate tiers with nothing between them. Six vehicles are sensibly priced, and the ones above cost you several times the money.
You take the cheap flight into Agadir Add the drive before you compare the fares. Agadir puts about eight hours between you and the snow, then charges you £1,091. Very few flight savings survive that.
You expect the lifts to be in the town Plan for the last 10 km. Your runs are at Michlifen, about fifteen minutes from Ifrane. Know that before you choose where to stay, and tell your driver if you are heading straight to the snow.
You plan to connect by train and taxi Book the leg from the airport instead. The rail reaches Fez and stops there, so your last 65 km is a taxi you arrange on the day. You negotiate that in a station car park with your ski bags at your feet.
Your flight into Fez runs late Put the flight number on the booking. hoppa tracks your aircraft, not the clock. You get up to 60 minutes of free waiting, and an international flight adds a 30-minute buffer on top.

Why do Ifrane travellers choose a private transfer with hoppa?

Get your airport right and you save three hours and most of your fare. Fez sits 65 km away, an hour of easy road, and three of you ride it in a private car for £70. Casablanca, which half the internet calls your nearest airport, leaves you 320 km and three and a half hours out, and starts at £615.

Fez Airport is small and the arrivals hall empties fast, which cuts both ways for you. Book ahead and somebody stands there holding your name on a board. Land without one and you are haggling in a quiet hall, with 1,665 metres of climb still ahead of you and no rank worth the name.

A driver handles one more thing nobody warns you about. Your lifts are not in Ifrane. They sit 10 km on at Michlifen, and somebody who runs this road all winter knows which of the two you actually meant.

With a standard ride app When you book with hoppa
Choosing the airport You trust the line about Casablanca being the closest. You check the distances and fly into Fez, 65 km out and £70.
Comparing gateways You rank them by how far away they look on a map. You price all four and find Marrakech cheaper than Casablanca, and it sits 210 km further out.
Reading the Marrakech list You keep scrolling for a better fit. You stop at the sixth row. The seventh is more than four times the sixth.
The last 10 km You arrive in town and ask where the chairlift is. You know the runs are at Michlifen and plan the fifteen minutes in.
Altitude and snow You expect a guaranteed Alpine base at 1,665 m. You check the report first and treat a good week as a good week.
Luggage You count people and hope the ski bags fit. You declare the bags and let the bag count choose the vehicle.
If the flight slips You lose the booking and start again at the rank. The flight number is on the booking and the driver waits for the aircraft.
What you pay A fare agreed at the kerb after a long flight. One price for the vehicle, fixed online before you travel.

How long is the transfer from Fez Airport to Ifrane?

About an hour for 65 km. Nothing on this road will test you.

You leave the Saïss plain south of Fez and climb steadily rather than steeply. Cedar forest starts showing on the higher ground and thickens as you go, and by the time you reach Ifrane the trees are the whole landscape. You are in Barbary macaque country here, and you will spot them at the roadside near Azrou if you are looking.

Give your return leg the same hour, and leave yourself a margin in snow. The gradient stays gentle, the surface does not always, and the Middle Atlas throws more weather at you than its altitude suggests.

Route Drive time Approx. cost per vehicle Vehicle type
Fez Airport (FEZ) to Ifrane ~1 hr · 65 km £70–£135private car to 8-seat minibus Private car up to a 14-seat minibus. The nearest airport, the cheapest fares and the shortest drive
Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK) to Ifrane ~6 hr · 530 km £244–£495private car to 8-seat minibus Private car up to a 14-seat minibus. Further than Casablanca and considerably cheaper
Casablanca Mohammed V Airport (CMN) to Ifrane ~3 hr 30 · 320 km £615–£991private car to 8-seat minibus Private car up to a 14-seat minibus. Widely described as the closest airport, and five times the distance of Fez
Agadir Al Massira Airport (AGA) to Ifrane ~8 hr · 744 km £1,091–£1,911private car to 8-seat minibus Private car up to a 14-seat minibus. Bookable, and the longest ground leg hoppa sells to any ski resort

Please note: You can book all four of these, and all four carry real inventory. Weigh distance against price before you buy a flight. Your nearest airport is your cheapest one, and your second cheapest is your second furthest away. Prices are indicative.

An open road running across the tree-scattered Middle Atlas plateau in Morocco with a snow-covered range behind it

How much is a transfer to Ifrane?

You start at £70, for a three-seat private car out of Fez, about an hour of climbing into cedar forest. What is unusual here is what sits above that. Thirteen vehicles, priced more or less in step with the seat count, nothing duplicated and no cliff waiting for you. On a ski route that is rare enough to say out loud.

One choice deserves a second look from you. Three executive seats cost within a few pounds of a fourteen-seat minibus at £135. If four of you are travelling with boot bags, take the minibus. It is not close.

Your other three gateways are a different conversation. Marrakech asks £244 over 530 km, Casablanca £615 over 320 km, and Agadir more again. Read that order twice. It does not follow distance, which is exactly why you price your ground leg before you buy the flight. All prices are indicative.

You can travel larger and more comfortably from any of the four gateways. An executive MPV from Fez costs you £191, and the long legs carry bigger vehicles. Marrakech will give you a 17-seat coach at £319 and Casablanca a 36-seat coach at £1,202. Seat counts are maximums, and you pay per vehicle rather than per person.

You might not be choosing between a car and a minibus at all. hoppa runs a wider range of vehicle types beyond the ones priced for this route:

  • Wheelchair accessible minibus: 1 to 6 seats, if you or somebody with you has mobility needs. Request it at booking, and say whether you are stopping in Ifrane or going on to the lifts at Michlifen.
  • Private coach: up to 60 seats. Fez tops out at fourteen, so ask hoppa to price a larger group from Casablanca or Marrakech rather than guessing a band. Vehicles seating 16 or more need 14 days' notice if you want to cancel free of charge.

Child seats cost you nothing for the first one, added on the booking form. Pets and service animals are permitted and count toward the vehicle's passenger allowance. Prices are indicative.

Vehicle type Max passengers Luggage capacity Why choose this option? Estimated price (one-way)
Private car (Fez) Up to 3 Up to 3 ski or board bags The cheapest way you can reach Ifrane, and enough car for one, two or three of you. You get an hour of easy road out of Fez. From £70
Private MPV, 5 seats (Fez) Up to 5 Up to 5 ski or board bags Four or five of you with a full set of bags. You want the five-seat boot once the board bags come out. From £88
Minibus, 6 seats (Fez) Up to 6 Up to 6 ski or board bags You get six seats and six bags for a few pounds above the five-seat MPV, which makes it the sensible middle of what Fez sells you. From £93
Minibus, 8 seats (Fez) Up to 8 Up to 8 ski or board bags Two families travelling together, or six of you who want the room. A second operator will sell you the same eight seats a little higher. From £106
Minibus, 14 seats (Fez) Up to 14 Up to 14 ski or board bags Ski clubs, school groups and extended families. You pay barely more for fourteen seats than for twelve, so take the fourteen. From £135
Executive car (Fez) Up to 3 Up to 3 ski or board bags You step the comfort up for the hour on the road. Worth knowing you pay within a few pounds of the fourteen-seat minibus. From £131

Read this before you book the flight:

  • Fez is your nearest airport, not Casablanca. 65 km against 320 km, and £70 against £615.
  • Distance will not order the prices for you. Marrakech sits 210 km further out than Casablanca and asks less than half the fare.
  • Marrakech hides a wall. Six vehicles up to £495, then nothing until £1,390. Never book above it.
  • Compare the executive car against the minibus. Three executive seats cost you about what fourteen minibus seats do.
  • Your lifts are at Michlifen, 10 km on. You stay in Ifrane and ski fifteen minutes up the road.
  • You pay per vehicle. Six of you splitting the £93 minibus pay about sixteen pounds each.

How to book your Ifrane transfer

Takes less than 200 seconds to complete.
Book Now
1

Enter your details

Tell us the arrival airport, your dates and where you are staying. If you are heading straight to the lifts, say Michlifen rather than Ifrane. They are 10 km apart.

2

Choose your vehicle

From Fez the list runs in a sensible order and the seat count is a fair guide. From Marrakech it does not: six rows are priced normally and everything below them is several times the money.

3

Add what the driver needs to know

Flight number, ski and board bag count, and a child seat if you need one. The first child seat is free and the flight number is what keeps the driver waiting if you land late.

4

Pay once and arrive

The fare is fixed when you pay, by Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro or PayPal. Your driver meets you inside the terminal and nothing is owed at the far end.

How else can you get to Ifrane?

The train takes you as far as Fez and no further. Morocco's rail network is genuinely good, and it will carry you to Fez from Casablanca, Rabat and Tangier. The line stops there, and your last 65 km to Ifrane is a road you still have to arrange yourself.

Buses run into Ifrane from the larger cities and they cost you the least. They are slow, they take no interest in your flight, and they put you down in the town centre rather than at your accommodation.

So your honest comparison is not price against price. It is how many changes you make, how long you stand about between them, and who carries the problem if snow closes the forest road above Azrou. Weigh those three before you choose.

Transport option Indicative price to Ifrane Journey time What's included / what to watch for
hoppa private car (Fez to Ifrane) From £70 per vehicle ~1 hr · 65 km The straightforward booking. Three seats and three ski bags, terminal to accommodation, for £70.
hoppa private minibus (Fez to Ifrane) From £93 per vehicle ~1 hr · 65 km The family row. Six to fourteen seats with a bag each, on the shortest of the four gateway drives.
hoppa private car (Marrakech to Ifrane) From £244 per vehicle ~6 hr · 530 km For travellers already in Marrakech, or pairing this resort with Oukaïmeden in the High Atlas. Long, but priced sensibly.
Train to Fez, then a taxi Rail fare, plus a negotiated fare Rail time, plus about 1 hr The railway is good and it does not go to Ifrane. The last 65 km is a taxi you arrange on the day, with ski bags, in a station car park.
Intercity bus to Ifrane Lowest cost Several hours from the coast Cheap and reasonably frequent from the bigger cities. It runs to a timetable rather than to your flight, and it stops in the town centre.
Hire car from Fez Airport Daily rate, plus fuel and parking ~1 hr, longer in snow The road is easy in the dry and the Middle Atlas gets more snow than its altitude suggests. You pay for the car on every skiing day too.
Casablanca or Agadir instead of Fez From £615 and £1,091 ~3 hr 30 and ~8 hr Both are real routes with real inventory. Both cost several hundred pounds more than an hour from Fez for the same drop-off.

What should you know about skiing Ifrane in winter?

Start with the altitude, since it sets everything else for you. Ifrane sits at 1,665 metres, around a kilometre lower than Oukaïmeden in the High Atlas, and your season runs December to February, weather permitting. A lower resort gives you a shorter window and more variable cover, so check the report before you commit to flights rather than after.

What that altitude buys you is a different kind of Moroccan mountain. You are in cedar country. Deep forest, rolling ground, Barbary macaques at the roadside, and a town built with pitched roofs for snow it genuinely gets. Those roofs are why people call Ifrane Morocco's Switzerland, which is a stretch, and the roofs are real and so is the reason for them.

The skiing will suit you as a beginner or an improver, with well-kept runs, rental kit and instructors on hand. Ski it hard and you will exhaust it in a couple of days. That describes the place rather than criticises it. Most people who come here are learning, or fitting a day on snow into a wider Moroccan trip.

Remember your last 10 km. The lifts are at Michlifen, about fifteen minutes from the town, so work that into where you stay and how you plan your mornings.

Your Ifrane arrival guide, from the terminal to the first lift

Fez Airport is small and quick to clear, and the drive out of it asks nothing of you. About an hour, climbing gently into cedar forest, with no difficult road anywhere in it.

Next you will find what the terminal gives you, what the drive up through the forest is actually like, what to settle before you fly, and what happens when you arrive.

Ski-goers' arrival guide to Ifrane

Everything from wheels down to first lift on the road into the Middle Atlas.

Landing at Fez–Saïss Airport (FEZ)

Fez is small, quick to clear and 65 km from the resort. It is the airport most guidance to this resort forgets to mention, so do not be surprised if your search results push you towards Casablanca instead.

Finding your driver

Your driver meets you inside the terminal, in arrivals, holding a board with your name on it. You do not queue at a rank, you do not agree a price at the kerb, and you do not need local currency to start the journey.

If the flight runs late

Put the flight number on the booking and hoppa tracks the aircraft. Airport arrivals carry up to 60 minutes of free waiting, plus a 30-minute buffer on international flights.

An hour, and an easy one

The road runs south out of the Saïss plain and climbs steadily rather than steeply. Cedar appears on the higher ground and thickens until it is the whole landscape. There are no hairpins and no exposure. This is the gentlest gateway drive on any ski page hoppa runs.

The macaques

The cedar forest around Azrou is home to Barbary macaques and they gather near the road. Feeding them is discouraged for good reasons, but they are worth slowing down for.

In snow

The gradient is easy and the surface is not always. The Middle Atlas collects more weather than 1,665 metres suggests, and a local driver has seen this road in all of it.

What to settle before you land

Decide whether you are going to Ifrane or to Michlifen. They are 10 km apart and only one of them has the lifts. Put the actual address on the booking so the driver takes you to the right one.

Check the snow

The season is December to February and it depends on conditions. At 1,665 metres the cover is more variable than an Alpine base. Look at the report before you book flights, not after.

Declare the bags

Ski and board bags decide the vehicle, not passenger count. Say how many you are bringing and the booking form will size the vehicle around them.

Arriving at the resort

The drop-off is your accommodation rather than a car park. Ifrane is a walkable town with pitched roofs, a university and a lot of cedar; the runs, rental kit and instructors are 10 km on at Michlifen.

What the skiing is like

Well-kept and gentle, and genuinely good for beginners and improvers. Strong skiers will see most of it inside two days, which is why so many people here are combining a day on snow with Fez, Meknès or the forest.

If something needs sorting

Morocco keeps the same clock as the UK for most of the ski season, so the hour you want to ring is the hour you are awake. hoppa's team runs 24/7 on chat, email and phone, answering in an average of 11 seconds with a 99.7% answer rate, and the hoppa help centre has the written answer if you would rather not wait for a person. Complaints must reach customer service within 30 days of the date of service.

What to expect on the road to Ifrane

Four airports, two imperial cities and Morocco's other ski resort, all within your reach from here. This is what you will actually find at each one.

Can I cancel or change my hoppa transfer?

Yes, though cancelling and changing work differently.

Cancel in time and you get a full refund. The window depends on the size of vehicle you booked:

  • 7-seater and below: cancel at least 24 hours before pick-up.
  • 8 to 14 seater: cancel at least 48 hours before pick-up.
  • 16 seater and above: cancel at least 14 days before pick-up. Cancel between 7 and 14 days out and you get half the booking value back.

Refunds reach your original payment method in 5 to 7 business days.

Changes are narrower. You can update passenger names, contact numbers, passenger count and luggage count, as long as your party still fits the vehicle you booked. Anything else means cancelling and booking again at the current price. That covers a new pick-up time, a different address or a different vehicle.

Extras are more flexible. Up to 24 hours before pick-up you can adjust things like child seat details or the name on the pick-up sign.

If your flight is cancelled, contact hoppa straight away. You get a full refund on a ride you no longer need. Booking inside 24 hours of travel is still possible, though an expedited booking fee applies.

Is hoppa transfer reliable?

Yes. hoppa has moved more than 40 million travellers through 2,600+ airports and resorts across 182+ countries, working with a network of 70,000+ vetted local fleet providers. hoppa is trusted by Mastercard and UnionPay as the mobility infrastructure layer for agentic travel.

On the Fez Airport (FEZ) to Ifrane route that reliability is practical, not abstract. Your driver tracks your inbound flight, so a delay moves your pickup rather than losing it. You get up to 60 minutes of free waiting time, plus a 30 minute buffer on international arrivals. If a delay runs more than 2 hours past your scheduled arrival, call the number on your e-ticket and hoppa will coordinate a new pickup time. If something does go wrong, hoppa's support team answers in an average of 11 seconds, 24/7, across chat, email and phone, with a 99.7% call answer rate.

Every vehicle on this route is operated by a vetted local company that drives the mountain roads all winter. The price you agree at booking is the price you pay, with no surcharge for snow, traffic or a late landing.

Can an AI assistant book hoppa?

Yes. hoppa is built as a global mobility platform that powers agentic transactions, which means an AI assistant can search, price and book a transfer on your behalf.

That is why hoppa is trusted by Mastercard and UnionPay as the mobility infrastructure layer for agentic travel. Fixed, all-in pricing and a structured inventory of 70,000+ vetted local fleet providers give an AI agent something unambiguous to act on: one price, one vehicle, one confirmed pickup.

Ask your assistant for a Fez Airport (FEZ) to Ifrane transfer and it can return live availability, vehicle sizes and a fixed price without you opening a booking form.

Book your Ifrane ski transfer with hoppa

Fez has no train to Ifrane and no bus worth waiting for. What it has is a rank where the fare is whatever you can argue it down to, with an hour of Middle Atlas road still to come and your skis on the roof.

Settle it before you fly and none of that happens. Someone is there when you walk out, the price is agreed, and the hour up to 1,665 metres goes by with you watching cedar forest instead of the meter.

Arrange the drive from Fez now and start the trip the moment you land.

Read the ski transfer guide if booking one is new to you, or when to go skiing if you are still choosing dates. If you want the higher, barer Moroccan option, Oukaïmeden sits at 2,600 metres in the High Atlas, two hours from Marrakech.

Ifrane transfers: frequently asked questions

How much is a transfer from Fez Airport to Ifrane?

From £70 if three of you take a private car. Thirteen vehicles run the 65 km leg for you, up to a 14-seat minibus at £135. Prices are indicative.

Is Casablanca really the closest airport to Ifrane?

No. Fez sits 65 km away and Casablanca 320 km. You will meet that claim in a good many places, including the resort's own published FAQ, so check it before you book a flight.

Why is Marrakech cheaper than Casablanca when it is further away?

Different local operators quote you each leg independently, and nothing obliges your price to follow the kilometres. Marrakech asks £244 over 530 km. Casablanca asks £615 over 320 km.

Where does the driver meet me at Fez Airport?

Inside the terminal, in arrivals, holding a board with your name on it. You join no queue at a rank and you agree no fare at the kerb.

Are the ski lifts in Ifrane itself?

No. Your runs are at Michlifen, 10 km and about fifteen minutes up the road. You stay in Ifrane, so put the right one of the two on your booking.

Can I ski Ifrane as a day trip from Fez?

Easily, and a lot of people do. Book two point-to-point transfers rather than one, so your ride back down is fixed before you go up. Nobody wants to arrange that in the dark at the end of a ski day.

When is the ski season at Ifrane?

December to February, weather permitting. Cover at this altitude varies more than an Alpine base does, so read the report before you book your flights.

Is Ifrane good for beginners?

Very. The runs are well kept and gentle, and you will find rental kit and instructors on site. Ski at an advanced level and you will have seen most of it inside a couple of days.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

Add your flight number at booking and hoppa tracks the aircraft. You get up to 60 minutes of free waiting from the time you actually land, plus a 30-minute international buffer.

Can I cancel or change my transfer?

Yes. You cancel free up to 24 hours before travel in a vehicle seating seven or fewer, 48 hours in an 8 to 14 seater, and 14 days ahead for 16 seats and above.

Are child seats available?

Your first one costs nothing and goes on the booking form when you reserve. Ask there rather than at the kerb, so your driver arrives with it already fitted.

Can I take ski and board bags?

Yes, and say so on the booking form. Every Fez vehicle carries one bag per seat, so if four of you travel with a board bag between you, you have already outgrown the private car whatever the seat count says.

How do I pay for the transfer?

You settle it online as you book, by Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro or PayPal. Your driver takes nothing from you at either end.

What if I land late at night?

Transfers run around the clock for you. A pickup between 22:00 and 08:00 local time carries a nighttime surcharge, and you see it before you pay rather than after.

Can I reach Fez, Meknès or Rabat from Ifrane?

Yes, each as its own point-to-point booking. Meknès puts you 60 km and about an hour away, Fez 65 km, and Rabat 200 km and about three hours.

How early should I leave for my flight home?

Give your descent to Fez the full hour, and add a margin in snow. The gradient is easy, the forest road holds weather, and an early flight has you leaving before it is light.
