There might be a wait of up to 45 minutes before you set off from the airport if you choose to travel by bus. This is because, unlike private transfers, other passengers will be arriving on different flights to yours and you’ll be sharing your journey with them. Your fellow holidaymakers are then dropped off along the way and your accommodation will be one of the drop-off points.

This is confirmed when you book, but make sure you check the vehicle is going to be suitable for your luggage before you travel.

After you’ve made your decision between our Alicante Airport buses or private transfers and finalised your booking, we’ll send you an e-ticket. This is an important document that includes key information about your transfers, such as where to find your driver when you arrive, as well as pick-up and drop-off times.

Your driver will ask to see your e-ticket when you meet them at the airport, so print it before your flight to Alicante. You’ll need to keep hold of your ticket if you’ve booked a return transfer with us. Keep it safe and have it ready to present to your driver on the way back.

Where you need to go to meet your driver once you land at Alicante Airport depends on several factors. You may be directed to the Arrivals hall, where you’ll see a travel rep holding a sign displaying your name or ‘hoppa.’ Again, show them your ticket and they’ll take you to your vehicle.
If you book a taxi from Alicante with us and you can’t see your driver waiting for you when you get to Spain, check the Taxi Official board for updates. You’ll see this board located to the right of the Arrivals hall, next to the Tourist Information kiosk.

Other common pick-up instructions to follow when you reach Alicante request that you head to the Abas Costa Blanca desk. You’ll find this on level -2 (minus 2) and on the same level as the coach park. When you’ve located your travel rep, present them with your e-ticket and they’ll either take you to your vehicle or a waiting area.

Wherever you've been instructed to go, always show the driver your e-ticket. If you can’t see any directions on your ticket, call the number in the ‘Find my pick-up’ section on your ticket for information about what you need to do next.

From time to time, heavy traffic causes our drivers to be slightly delayed in getting to the airport. If you can’t find your driver once you’ve arrived at your pick-up point, call the number on your e-ticket quoting your reference number for an update.

Flight delays aren't uncommon, so if you experience one or your luggage hasn’t turned up, your driver will wait for you for 45 minutes.

If you know there’s a delay, even if it falls within 45 minutes, we advise that you call the number on your e-ticket, just so that we’re aware. Should you go over the 45-minute waiting time, a new driver may have to be sent to you. Therefore, by letting us know what’s happening, it makes it easier to reshuffle your Alicante transfers.

Should you be delayed for more than three hours, you’ll need to rearrange your transfers with us and contact your travel insurer about how to claim.

Yes, return journeys can be booked at the same time as your outbound transfer. Booking both legs in advance often gives you better value and peace of mind.

We suggest you get to your pick-up point 10 minutes before your bus arrives. If your bus is late, call the emergency number on your e-ticket and we’ll find out where your driver is.

If you’ve booked a private transfer, the vehicle is reserved for you and your group only. If you choose a shared shuttle, you’ll travel with other passengers going in the same direction.

Hoppa works with local transfer partners rather than having a physical desk. All instructions about where to meet your driver are sent by email after booking.
